Job Description

Job Purpose / Summary

As a Junior Payroll Analyst, you will support the delivery of payroll services to a portfolio of clients. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical payroll expertise within a structured consulting environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

·       Support the preparation and processing of payroll for multiple clients

·       Capture, validate, and maintain employee payroll data

·       Assist in payroll calculations, including salaries, overtime, deductions, and benefits

·       Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with variance analysis

·       Prepare standard payroll reports for clients

·       Support statutory filings and ensure compliance requirements are met

·       Respond to internal and client payroll queries in a timely manner

·       Maintain accurate documentation in line with audit and compliance standards

·       Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements

Job Requirement

Qualifications & Experience

·       Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field

·       1–3 years’ experience in payroll or finance (internship experience acceptable)

·       Basic knowledge of Mauritian payroll regulations

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

·       Experience with payroll systems is an advantage

 

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

·       Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll data processing

·       Basic understanding of payroll calculations and statutory requirements in Mauritius

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

·       Ability to perform payroll reconciliations and identify discrepancies

·       Familiarity with payroll systems and data management practices (advantageous)

·       Ability to maintain accurate records in line with audit and compliance standards
