Workshop Attendant

Emcar Marine is looking for a dynamic and passionate person to join our team as Workshop Attendant

Job Summary:

The Workshop Attendant is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and tidiness within the Marine Workshop, including the workshop floor, mess room and surrounding areas. The role also involves running errands such as purchasing spare parts, delivering documents and dispatching letters. The candidate must hold a valid car and motorcycle driving license to carry out transportation-related tasks efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Workshop & Facility Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the workshop, mess room and common areas.
• Dispose of waste materials properly and ensure proper handling of hazardous waste.
• Assist in organizing tools and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and available as needed.

2. Errands & Logistics

• Collect and deliver spare parts from suppliers when required.
• Dispatch documents, letters and job sheets to relevant departments or external stakeholders.
• Assist in transporting small equipment or tools between locations.

3. Support to Workshop Operations

• Assist mechanics and technicians in basic tasks such as fetching tools or materials.
• Ensure that workstations remain free from clutter and hazards.
• Help in moving and storing spare parts as per instructions.

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum Form 4 or equivalent 
• Valid motorcycle and car driving license (mandatory).
• Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
• Good physical condition to handle cleaning and minor lifting tasks.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Basic communication skills in English and French.
• Honest, reliable and punctual.
