Warehouse Assistant

Location: Mauritius
Reports to: CFO

Responsibilities:

• The job of WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT is responsible for the purpose/s of carry out general warehouse duties as directed by the reporting manager.
• To be aware of, and follow warehouse work and safety procedures
• Monitor inventory levels as materials, equipment and stock are receipt, issued, transferred within an establishment using manual or computerized inventory system
• Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments
• Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Marks materials with identifying information
• Assist Operations Delivery with delivery of cargo.
• Oversee truck loading operations to ensure all policies, and procedures are followed accordingly.
• To Monitor / supervise loading and unloading lorries.
• To ensure accuracy in all picking and issuing delivery quantities

Qualification & Experience:

• HSC or bachelor’s degree in courses related to SCM, Warehouse and Logistics preferred
• Ability to work independently, meticulous and be a team player
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken
• Proficient in MS office applications and preferably with some knowledge of IT / ERP System
• 2-3 years of relevant working experiences
• Ability to stark work immediately will be an added advantage 
• Proficiency in software: Microsoft Office packages
