We are looking for a dynamic Senior Associate - Accounting who will be responsible for managing key client portfolio and assisting the Manager in establishing accounting objectives and overall scope.

The Responsibilities

The Senior Associate - Accounting is expected to:

 Clients:

  • Responsible for managing key client portfolio and building and maintaining good working relationships with all colleagues and clients.
  • Assist the Manager in establishing accounting objectives and overall scope.
  • Review the work of in-charge.
  • Check that accounting work papers have been properly prepared and that files are completed in a timely manner and are properly filed and maintained on the network.
  • Determine that the management account/financial statements reflect the work performed and meet set reporting and accounting standards.
  • Finalise draft report to management.
  • Remain updated to clients' business and is the key contact for day-to-day queries.
  • Follow through on any concerns regarding an accounting assignment with the Manager.

People:

  • Plan and co-ordinate with the Manager on all aspects of accounting planning, including staffing requirements.
  • Responsible for managing accounting teams on specific assignments to ensure the work is appropriately completed.
  • Manage, motivate and coach team members and provides feedback through regular communication.

 The Requirements:

  •  Possess a professional qualification (ACA or ACCA).
  • Experience in audit will be an advantage but is not a pre-requisite.
  • Good working knowledge of compliance and regulation.
  • Ability to support and mentor staff.
  • Experience of large domestic company in addition to dealing with complex technical matters.
