We’re looking for a passionate and energetic Travel Consultant to join our growing team and create unforgettable experiences for our members and customers.

 

JOB PROFILE
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and attend phone calls at all times.
  • Make reservations, issue tickets, process refunds, effect reconfirmation and other related services as requested by clients (Leisure, Corporates, Travel Agencies, Group Bookings and others).
  • Process Queues as per AIR INDIA requirements.
  • Apply tariff principles, rules and regulations to quote air fares relative to the itinerary within 24 hrs or at earliest or as per client requirements.
  • Advise and propose customers about air and non-air services including visa, travel insurance and other services.
  • After Hours 24/7 duty calls as and when required.
  • Handle complaints/and claims and follow up until resolution.
  • Retrieve, prepare, submit and keep records as required by Airline and /or Management including Daily Sales Activities, Weekly reports, Sales visit reports, Market intelligence, dashboard and any other scheduled reports Active participation and contribution in all duties and tasks assigned- fairs, events, workshops and any other activities.
  • Visit Travel Agencies , Clients, Corporates as and when required.
  • Handle Flight disruptions as per Airline procedures.
  • Form part of AIR INDIA Mauritius emergency response team and be called upon to handle passengers and families affected by an aircraft accident/incident.
  • Invoicing, cashing in, issuing receipts, filling in bank deposit slips and process banking
  • Abide to all Standards, Policies and Procedures as per AIR INDIA Standards.
  • Keep Client data base updated with passenger records and post trip feedback.
  • Debtors' follow up chasing.
  • Be part of Saturday roaster in place-subject to changes due to business requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Holder of a Diploma in IATA is a must
  • A minimum experience of 2 years in ticketing operations
  • Knowledge in Amadeus and any other GDS

  • Polished written, verbal and listening communication skills both in English and French.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Self-driven, motivated, results-oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Disciplined
