The United Basalt Products Ltd is seeking to recruit Technicians (L1, L2 & L3) for its Engineering Department’s Fleet Services Section. The recruit may be placed on different sites and may not be solely based at Bambous, depending on the business and clients’ needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct routine maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
- Perform engine and transmission overhauls as needed
- Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Collaborate with a team to ensure vehicle reliability
- Reading different technical schematics and part-list
- Fill relevant checklist as per standard operating procedures
- Perform inspection of equipment for proper performance and inspect same to detect faults and malfunctions
- Operate and test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work has been done as per specifications and recommendations
- To work in accordance with HSE regulations
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- At least NTC 3, higher qualifications would constitute an advantage
- For L1: At least 7 years’ experience, L2: At least 5 years’ experience & L3: At least 3 years’ experience
- Experience in a similar environment would constitute an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools would be an advantage but not a prerequisite
- Maintenance & Repair and Cleaning Skills
- Know-how of equipment (e.g., crushers, screens, loaders, forklifts, trucks, excavators)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility, Can do’ Attitude and detail conscious
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in a dust exposed environment
- Ability to work successfully both autonomously and as part of a team environment
- Willing to work both on odd and flexible hours or on a shift system as and when required
- Holder of a valid driving licence
