The Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that mechanical operations, standards, and controls are maintained to the highest quality. This role involves providing technical support to clients, executing repairs, and performing preventive maintenance according to established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on a variety of mechanical systems and machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines while conducting maintenance tasks.
Technical Support:
- Offer technical assistance and support to clients, addressing mechanical concerns and providing expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
- Document and communicate technical information, ensuring clarity and understanding for non-technical clients.
Quality Control and Standards:
- Ensure mechanical operations are conducted with the highest standard of quality and compliance.
- Implement and uphold mechanical safety standards, procedures, and control measures within the work environment.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Rigging and Equipment Handling:
- Utilize rigging equipment effectively and safely on a daily basis for handling, positioning, and moving heavy loads.
- Ensure the proper distribution and securing of loads to prevent equipment damage or accidents.
Shift Work:
- Work on a rotational shift basis to provide mechanical support as needed.
- Adapt to varying shift schedules to maintain consistent mechanical operations and availability for client support.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanical systems is preferred.
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a related mechanical role.
- Proficiency in the use of rigging equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
Physical Requirements:
