Powersure Ltd is looking for a Technicians with excellent working knowledge of electrical/mechanical regulations and safety codes.
Main purpose of the Role:
The Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of generator systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety standards.
Duties:
- Installation and Commissioning: Install and configure generator systems, including its electrical components and control panels, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct scheduled servicing of generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, battery checks, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues. Perform repairs as necessary to ensure continuous operation.
- Call-outs: Respond to urgent repair calls and service requests to address critical generator issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Diagnostics: Utilize testing equipment and techniques to identify and resolve issues with generator performance, efficiency, and safety features. Perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and diagnosis by questioning the client about specific problems encountered while operating the equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical records of servicing, repairs, and inspections, detailing tasks performed and recommendations for system improvements. Maintain
- Customer Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding generator operation, maintenance, and safety practices. Establish and maintain a positive customer relationship.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in the field and in the workshop. Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians to coordinate interventions and share knowledge.
Requirements
- School Certificate
- NC1 or NC2 qualified.
- Previous experience in similar position would be an advantage.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Understanding routine maintenance procedures, including oil changes, filter replacements, and battery maintenance.
- Knowledge of fuel types, storage, and delivery systems for generators.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to electrical and mechanical work.
- Keep accurate records of installation, repair tasks and any documentation necessary for troubleshooting, auditing and compliance purposes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and a good team player.
- Valid driver's license.
