Supply Planner
Key/Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately maintain supplier and product master data in the DDMRP system
- Process replenishment orders based on the designed validated inventory levels and specific supply objectives – on tine and in full
- Maintain and update purchase order amendments in real time within the order management system to ensure data accuracy
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers and business unit managers regarding order status, delivery updates, and any issues related to their orders.
- Provide proactive communication to business units in case of delays, stockouts, or changes in order status.
- Address and resolve supplier and business unit inquiries, concerns, and complaints related to orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate closely with the sales, warehouse, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
- Coordinate with the logistics and transportation teams to schedule deliveries and ensure on-time shipping from suppliers
- Track and monitor the status of orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring that customer expectations are met.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer orders, including delivery dates, special requests, and any exceptions or issues.
- Generate and maintain reports on order fulfilment performance, backorders, and delivery timelines for management review.
- Quickly address and resolve any issues related to order fulfilment, such as incorrect shipments, damaged goods, or backordered products.
- Initiate corrective actions with suppliers or warehouses to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.
- Ensure that customers are informed of any changes and work towards solutions that meet their needs.
- continuously assess and improve order management processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance the customer experience.
- Stay updated with technological advancements and industry best practices to suggest improvements in order management systems or procedures.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Min 5 years’ experience in demand planning or order management within an FMCG environment
- Experience in using DDMRP advantageous
- Tertiary education in business management, procurement or logistics advantageous

- Strong problem-solving skills. Identification, analyses and proactive troubleshooting
- Adaptability and flexibility - quickly to changes in customer demand, shifting priorities, or unexpected challenges (e.g., supply chain disruptions).

- Strong ability to work collaboratively with various internal departments (sales, finance, inventory, and logistics).
