The Store Helper supports the hotel’s supply chain by managing inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained, and assisting with the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing goods and supplies.
- Ensure inventory levels are accurate and maintain organized stock areas.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the Storekeeper.
Stock Handling:
- Efficiently store and organize supplies in designated areas.
- Label and categorize items for easy identification and access.
Supply Distribution:
- Prepare and deliver requested supplies to various departments as needed.
- Assist with packing and labeling items for distribution.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.
- Update inventory management systems with new stock information and usage data.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure that storage areas are clean and organized.
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures for hazardous materials if applicable.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with other departments to understand their supply needs and ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate any issues or concerns regarding stock levels or quality to the Storekeeper.
Assistance and Support:
- Assist in periodic stock audits and physical inventory counts.
- Support the Storekeeper with administrative tasks related to inventory management.
