Job Purpose
The job incumbent will have to review all systems, processes and controls established within the organization and ensure their adequacy and adherence within the different stores (materials, spare parts and products).
Main Responsibilities
- Tracking shipments, overseeing inventory audits, maintaining reports of purchases and pricing
- Assist the Head of Service Centre in drafting and implementing processes and procedures
- Supervise and mentor staff, and review work papers to ensure they meet internal standards
- Making sure that stock levels are consistent and validate order requests
- Closely manage stock ageing and provisions in view of mitigating its financial impact
- Ensure concise communication of procedures to all those concerned prior to inventories
- Be responsible for all credit notes, transfers and exchange procedures related to unused, faulty and unmerchantable items
- Ensure daily reporting of stock situations to the Head of Service Centre (ageing, faulty, unused parts and so on)
- Lead cycle counts, carry out sample checks and audits and address inventory discrepancies
- Any cognate duties related to this position
Profile
- Higher School Certificate
- A minimum 2 years’ work experience in the relevant field
- Good knowledge of MS office and any other stock management software
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Honest and trustworthy
