We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading geotechnical projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct site investigations, soil and rock sampling, and laboratory testing.
- Perform geotechnical analysis and design for foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and other geotechnical systems.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and construction managers.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and business development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, SLOPE/W, foundation design, Borehole log).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
