The Senior Finance Officer will support the Senior Finance Manager in ensuring the seamless operation of the finance function by implementing effective control systems and ensuring that all financial transactions are conducted in compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.

 

VACANCY: Senior Finance Officer

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Finance Officer will support the Senior Finance Manager in ensuring the seamless operation of the finance function by implementing effective control systems and ensuring that all financial transactions are conducted in compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation and consolidation of budget data.
  • Monitor budgets by preparing detailed monthly variance reports across functions.
  • Support audit processes, including preparation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS), reporting packs, and liaising with internal and external auditors.
  • Approve bookkeeping entries in MS Dynamics.
  • Prepare monthly management account packs, including detailed review comments.
  • Handle intercompany workings, including preparation of invoices and schedules.
  • Provide support for Group-related monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with teams across the Company and Group to ensure accurate intercompany recharges and cost monitoring.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure optimal financial planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of Board Decks for presentations and strategic discussions.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

  • A University degree in Accounting and Finance with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role; OR
  • At least 5 years of experience in a comparable position, with a solid foundation in Accounting and Mathematics at A-level or Diploma level.
  • Prior experience in the offshore sector will be considered an advantage.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Computer literacy (MS Excel, Intermediate proficiency)
  • Available to work from 10h to 19h
  • A working knowledge of ERP and/or SAP system
  • Ability to establish priorities
  • Upholding ethical standards and ensuring sensitive financial data is handled with discretion
  • Capable of working collaboratively within a team and providing guidance where necessary.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges, identify risks, and propose solutions proactively.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and precision in financial data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
