About the role

As a Senior Developer in the RPA and Power Platform squad, you play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge automation and low-code solutions. Your expertise ensures that the squad delivers high-quality technical solutions aligned with business objectives while leveraging both RPA and Power Platform technologies effectively.

You work closely with architects, product owners, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable and maintainable solutions, while mentoring junior developers and fostering a collaborative team environment.


Key Accountabilities

  • Development & Implementation:
    • Design, develop, and deploy robust RPA solutions using industry-standard tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism).
    • Build applications, workflows, and dashboards leveraging Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
    • Ensure seamless integration of RPA and Power Platform solutions with enterprise systems and other tools.
    • Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Technical Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with architects and product owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality.
    • Work with stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and design automation or low-code solutions to address them.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Perform thorough testing, debugging, and validation of RPA bots and Power Platform solutions.
    • Adhere to governance, compliance, and best practices for solution development.
    • Ensure proper documentation for all solutions, including workflows, processes, and code.
  • Mentorship & Learning:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers in the squad.
    • Continuously explore and adopt emerging RPA and low-code/no-code technologies to enhance team capabilities.
  • Operational Support:
    • Monitor deployed solutions, resolve issues, and implement updates as required.
    • Support incident management and root cause analysis for production issues.


Expectations, Experience & Knowledge

  • Technical Expertise:
    • 6+ years of work experience, with 3+ years of experience developing digital automation solutions.
    • Proficient in RPA tools like UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere.
    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform technologies (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse).
    • Strong understanding of API integrations and enterprise system connectivity.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
    • Solution-oriented mindset, always seeking to improve processes and outcomes.


Nice to Have

  • Certifications in RPA (e.g., UiPath Advanced Developer) and/or Power Platform (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate).
  • Experience with low-code/no-code governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Knowledge of process mining tools like Celonis or Signavio
  • Proficiency in English and a second language (preferably Dutch or French).
  • Knowledge on AI (e.g Azure AI, Co-pilot, …)
