MAIN SCOPE OF JOB:
The Security Manager oversees the security operations, safety aspects and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. He develops the security strategies, implements security procedures and ensures the company’s well-being.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The responsibilities of the Security Manager include: - developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures.
- Oversees assets protection for business companies from the protection of people and team members to the prevention of theft and inventory loss.
- Budgeting, responsible for security personnel, representation, planning and coordinating, review reports, investigate and resolve issues.
- On a routine basis, monitors security team performance to ensure security requirements are met. Sets policies for access control of the building.
- To investigate security breaches or occurrences and produce timely and concise reports.
- Collaborating with department heads to determine security needs, planning and implementing comprehensive security.
- Risk Assessment of assets and take precautionary actions to avert incidents. Ensure the satisfaction of guests, stakeholders amongst others.
- Leading and managing a team of security personnel, including hiring, training and performance management.
- Maintaining and updating emergency response plans, ensuring all employees know their roles and responsibilities.
Required skills and qualification
- 5+ years of experience in security management, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies, incident management software and other security-related equipment, such as access control systems and CCTV surveillance.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures and programs.
- Proficiency in security assessments, audits and investigations at a large scale.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying and mitigating security risks.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Knowledge of emergency response planning and incident management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Training or experience in emergency response and crisis management.
