Mauritius Oil Refineries Limited is currently seeking for a Sales Representative to join its team.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Sales Representative is the principal point of contact between MOROIL and its customers. He / She is responsible to conduct sales out in the field of hotels and restaurants with both potential and existing customers. His / Her mission is to maintain and develop business opportunities and ensure that current customers have the right products and services. He / She cultivates relationships with customers within an assigned territory by utilizing a consultative approach to penetrate existing accounts, minimize lost business, and achieve profitable sales growth.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
PRODUCTS SELLING
- Selling of Moroil products to the HORECA sector within a given territory
- Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers
- Prepare and present proposals
- Provide hands-on explanations of any new or updated product when necessary
- Present food products with new ingredients, flavours and other features to customers to generate more orders
- Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally
- Research customer business needs and develops a mix of products and service to meet needs
- Recommend products to customers
- Obtain approval of the Senior Sales Representative before sending quotations to customers
- Order products via tablet from the Warehouse Department once confirmed by customers
- Liaise with the Senior Sales Representative for payments follow-up and collection
CUSTOMERS/RELATIONSHIPS MANAGEMENT
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Offer the best possible customer experience by fostering strong relationships
- Provide an efficient and effective after sales service by resolving any problem that can arise after delivery
- Record complaints received from customers, investigate problems, develop solutions, prepare reports and report any major problem or make recommendations to Management
- Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and territory
- Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product use
- Provide product information and practical training to customers’ personnel
- Deliver end of year gifts/goodies directly to existing customers
REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
- Maintain sales records
- Prepare daily and monthly sales reports by specifying threats and opportunities
- Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy monthly
- Analyse territory and monitoring performance results, daily call reports and weekly work plans
- Analyse clients’ budget, food specialty, goals and concerns in order to get a clear picture about orders frequency and volume
PRODUCTS MARKETING
- Work closely with marketing department to help build the brand
- Work as ambassador and act as support for prospects
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and other events
- Provide clients with new arrivals samples whenever possible
CUSTOMERS VISITS
- Regularly visit customers, deliver presentations, and take orders
- Gauge customers’ happiness and determine their future needs
- Continuously search for new potential clients in order to ensure future sales
- Develop new business through networking and consultative sales approach and grow existing accounts
PRODUCTS KNOWLEDGE AND PROMOTION
- Keep up with market trends, understand customers’ business and present product solutions based on clients' needs and goals
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and customer events
- Attend and participate in general sales meetings
COMPETITORS MONITORING
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques
- Monitor Moroil’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions
- Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services provided
- Keep up with food trends, competitors, and pricing for similar products
QUALIFICATION / PREREQUISITES
- Diploma in Sales & Marketing
- At least 2 to 3 years' experience within the Sales HORECA sector
- Holder of a valid car driving licence
- Ability to work beyond normal working hours
- Highly motivated and target drivien with a proven track recrod in sales
- Excellent selling , communicatiin and negotation skills
- Excellent knwoledge of MS Office
