Rogers Capital is looking to hire a dedicated and hardworking Sales Consultant to increase its market penetration and visibility. In this role, you should be an excellent communicator, reliable and customer-oriented, as you’ll serve as a primary point of contact for our Merchants.
Your role:
• Implement the sales strategies and initiatives with a special focus on our high yield Merchants in your zone.
• Provide and sustain a high-quality service level at all times to our Merchants – Be the first point of contact for our Merchants and ability to address and solve issues
• Deployment of Merchant App at all merchants in the zone assigned
• Collection of credit applications from merchants in the zone & ensure all applications are thoroughly screened as per our checklist and physically tick on Soft4
• Perform regular visits as per route planning and frequency of visits assigned for each merchant in the zone.
• Work towards building strong and long-term relationships with all merchants and be the preferred credit partner of those merchants.
• Gather regular feedback from the market as well as competitors actions/initiatives, document same and provide management with relevant reports in a timely manner and during sales meetings.
• Ongoing product knowledge sessions with counter staff as well as merchant’s sales team on sales arguments and increase our presence and share of wallet at each merchant.
• Prepare and compile relevant sales reports by merchant and monitor the sales performance vs target.
• Look for potential new stakeholders.
Your profile:
• Proven ability to drive sales and generate new business.
• Relevant industry experience ideally gained in retail field.
• Confident and experienced negotiator able to drive revenue.
• A previous experience in retail, or similar position, would be an advantage.
• Ambitious and driven personality with a hunger for success.
• Willing to work on extended shifts & odd hours.
• Good performance track record & results oriented
• Willingness to work and always excel in level of service to our merchants
• Commercial flair and negotiation skills
• Computer literate
• Ability to work outside normal office hours and active participations in road shows and events at merchants
• Impeccable follow up on actions and problem-solving skills
• Holder of a valid driving licence
