About the Vacancy

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Public Area Cleaner to support our Housekeeping team at our two resorts in Mauritius. This role focuses on ensuring clients are always satisfied.

Your Role and Who You Are

We are looking for Public Area Cleaner to become an integral part of our Housekeeping team. In this role, you will:

·         Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways and bathrooms. Empty trash cans and dispose of waste in accordance with hotel policies.

·         Ensure cleaning supplies are adequately stocked and report any shortages. Follow safety and hygiene guidelines to maintain a clean and healthy environment. Collaborate with the housekeeping team to prioritize tasks and meet cleaning standards.

·         Report any maintenance issues or damage to the appropriate department.

·         Participate in special cleaning projects as needed.

 Qualifications:

·         Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.

·         Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

·         Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members. Physical endurance and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting and bending. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is an asset.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for hospitality, and creating unforgettable guest experiences. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. You should have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
