We are looking for a Pastry Cook/Baker to join our Pastry Team in Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa Mauritius.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collect ordered food items from store
• Check all products (dry, frozen and fresh provision)
• Receive and examine work programs and event orders from supervisors
• Prepare “mise-en-place” of dishes as per preparation list and instructions
• Prepare basic culinary items as per standard recipes.
• Prepare work station for service
• Minimize wastage and breakage
• Keep workplace tidy and clean as you go
• Understand principles of FIFO
• Converse with all aspects of Food Safety Regulations and maintain a proper personal grooming
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• NTC 3 or equivalent and/or prior professional experience
• Fluent in English and French (oral and written)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Working experience as Pastry Cook for 1 – 2 years
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure
• Good and YES I CAN Attitude
