The Night Manager is responsible for the night shift, from 11.00 pm to 08.00 am. He ensures that the guests’ service is maintained and that the resort finances are accurately reported.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To be fully responsible for the entire Resort Operations at night.
- To assist all departments operations at nighttime.
- To understand what is happening in the resort daily in order to assist guests efficiently.
- To know the operating hours of each outlet within the resort.
- To process minimum 2 rounds of the entire property and record on Night Manager report any defect, failure or misconduct that may affect the next day in operations.
- To ensure all customers’ requests are handled quickly and effectively and recorded with One Touch Service operator.
- To assist and handle checking-in and checking-out of all resort guests in a timely and courteous manner.
- To ensure that all accounting procedures are carried out in accordance with CERS policies and procedures (petty cash/cash advance/paid out /payments…).
- To ensure that proper handovers and briefings are carried out for each shift.
- To take hand over from Ephelia Ambassador Lobby of the evening for any follow-up issues.
- To supervise Team member behavior and refer to Front of the House Manager to take immediate corrective action when below resort standards.
- To work closely with the Night Auditors to ensure that the dossiers and computer system are updated accordingly.
- To ensure with Reception that all preparation for the next day’s arrival is ready for the next morning shift.
- To inform Housekeeping of the early rooms checked out in the morning, start of housekeeping shift.
- To be knowledgeable of all property Management system.
- To prepare back up report in case of Property Management system failure or Night Audit closure delay.
- To be knowledgeable of major technical functionalities of the guest rooms in case of guest inquiries during the night.
- To contact Maintenance on call at night in case of maintenance emergencies.
- To be responsible for the safety and security of guest and employees working during night shift.
- Attend all the trainings that you are assigned to within your department or on a resort level
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 3(three) years of experience in a similar role in international 5-star hotel
- Fluent in English, a second language is a plus (French, Italian, German...)
- Experience working in top of the range luxury island resorts in tropical locations will constitute a definite advantage.
- International exposure in different continents.
- Proven experience in working with budget, P&L, inventory controls
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proven leadership capabilities

- Excellent organisation and coordination skills
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural team
