Mechanical Engineer

Merits Consulting Engineers is looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer (Building Services) to join our dynamic team.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

· +3 years of experience in a similar role within a building services or mechanical consultancy environment.

· Expertise in designing HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems for a variety of building types.

· Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to sustainable building design.

· Proficiency with industry-standard software (such as Revit, AutoCAD, or similar) will be an advantage.

· Excellent communication and project management skills.

· Professional registration with CRPE will be an advantage.

· Holder of a valid driving license.

· Flexible to work odd hours when required.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Design and develop mechanical systems for building projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection.

· Oversee the execution of engineering designs, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

· Integrate energy efficiency and sustainable practices into your designs, optimizing energy usage and environmental impact for all projects.

· Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, and environmental engineers, to deliver holistic building service solutions.

· Ensure designs meet all industry standards, codes, and regulations.

· Present concepts and solutions to clients, making complex ideas easy to understand and implement.
