Our client in Seychelles is looking for a Marketing Manager to join their team for a job vacancy in the FMCG industry.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, sales, and customer engagement. This role includes managing promotions, events, advertising, and digital marketing across various channels, ensuring brand consistency and effective communication. The Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with sales, procurement, and operations teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
Reports to: Commercial Director
Key Responsibilities:
Promotions & Advertising
· Plan and execute Mega Sales, Stock Liquidation, Pop-Up Sales, and New Arrivals Promotions.
· Develop a quarterly activity calendar for marketing initiatives and promotional actions.
· Create a yearly calendar for special events, seasonal campaigns, and key business occasions.
· Lead all publication efforts related to company’s magazine, including content planning, production, and distribution.
· Prepare departmental catalogues, promotional flyers, and ensure up-to-date marketing materials.
Digital & Social Media Marketing
· Manage and develop content for the company’s website, ensuring all information is up to date.
· Plan and execute social media campaigns across WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.
· Oversee paid and organic digital advertisements, ensuring maximum reach and engagement.
· Monitor and update digital channels with current promotions, special events, and key brand messages.
Brand & Public Relations
· Coordinate new product launches in collaboration with the procurement team.
· Support and manage brand sponsorships and partnership opportunities.
· Develop relationships with media outlets for newspaper ads, articles, and PR initiatives.
· Ensure brand alignment in all marketing materials and customer communications.
Event Management & Community Engagement
· Organize and manage marketing-related events, including:
o Product tastings
o Beach cleanups and sustainability initiatives
o Special customer engagement events
· Invite, engage, and coordinate with department managers, sales teams, and operations to ensure seamless execution.
Marketing Strategy & Budgeting
· Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
· Create and manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective campaigns.
· Track and analyze marketing performance, reporting key insights and recommendations to the Commercial Director.
Cross-Department Coordination
· Work closely with:
o Sales and Brand Managers to align marketing with business growth goals.
o Operations Managers to ensure promotional execution and logistics.
o Procurement Managers to support new product introductions and brand partnerships.
o Graphic Designer (who reports to the Marketing Manager) to develop marketing materials on schedule.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Proven experience in marketing, brand management, or related roles.
· Strong knowledge of digital marketing, advertising, and social media strategies.
· Experience in event planning and execution.
· Ability to analyze marketing data and optimize campaigns.
· Excellent organizational and project management skills.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
· Knowledge of budgeting and marketing financial management.
The Marketing Manager plays a key role in shaping the company’s marketing presence, ensuring that all promotional and brand-building activities align with business objectives and directly reporting to the Commercial Director.
