Our client in the management sector is seeking to recruit a Manning Officer who will report to the Manning Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Perform crew changes in accordance with client’s instructions.
- Ensure that joiners’ competencies and skills comply with the requirements of the company's clients.
- Ensure Statutory & Mandatory, National & International (STCW), Flag State and Client’s requirements for joining seafarers are met.
- Communicate with Captains and various agencies for effecting smooth and well-planned crew changes in a cost-effective manner.
- Maintain the database and records of all crew up-to-date in compliance with ISO/ISM requirements.
- Arrange and coordinate travelling arrangements for on-off signing officers and crew.
- Responsible to validate travel/ manning agency/ flag state invoices in time and accurately.
- Initiate the prevention of nonconformance and report to the Manning Manager.
- Provide relevant report to management as required.
- Support implementation of processes, tools and best practices.
- Make sure seafarers’ activities are updated on the system in order to pay the crew on time and ascertain zero over payment.
- Follow up of mandatory certificates renewal, medical follow up, pre-assignment / post-assignment briefings.
- Perform any other cognate manning services related duties as assigned by the Management.
Profile:
- Hold as minimum Higher School Certificate or alternate equivalent relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position, as travel agent and/or in an administration position.
- Knowledge of Marine Industry and/or Oil and Gas industry will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office tools and ability to operate specific software programmes in crew manning services.
- Aim to evolve in a complex and challenging environment.
