Maintenance Technician - (Diesel / Electric Pump Machines)

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel / electric engines and related systems specifically used in concrete pump machines

This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the optimal performance of all diesel-powered concrete pump equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel/electric engine repair and maintenance, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and the specific requirements of concrete pump machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance and Repair:
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on diesel /electric engines and related components of concrete pump machines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel-powered concrete pump equipment.
• Replace defective parts and systems, including engines, transmissions, and fuel systems of concrete pump machines.
• Conduct routine oil changes, filter replacements, and other standard maintenance tasks specific to concrete pump machinery.
2. Troubleshooting:
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and software specific to concrete pump machines.
• Analyze and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions for concrete pump machinery.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to solve complex mechanical issues related to concrete pump machines.
3. Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities for concrete pump machines.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for concrete pump machinery.
4. Operational Support:
• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures for concrete pump machines.
• Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies for concrete pump machinery and request orders when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in Diesel /Electric mechanics preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in diesel /electric engine maintenance and repair, with specific experience in concrete pump machinery preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment specific to concrete pump machines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics for concrete pump machinery.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Certifications: Certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a workshop environment / Outside environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• May be required to work outside regular business hours, including weekends and holidays, to address urgent maintenance needs for concrete pump machines.
