Veranda Tamarin is seeking for a dynamic and talented Maintenance Executive. Come and join our tribe !

 

Main Duites:

  •  Assist Superior to:
    1Conduct selection, recruitment and promotion of respective team members (together with HRC/HRE)
    2Ensure that on the job training is conducted on a regular basis
    3Conduct Performance Appraisal and identify necessary training measures of respective team members
     Responsible for:
    4Make recommendations to Superior on team members’ matters and promotions
    5Assist the HRM in developing and implementing formal training plans for the Department
    6Together with HR develop and implement formal training plans for the Department
    7Identify departmental trainers, assign training responsibilities and meet with departmental trainers monthly
    8Ensure that discipline prevails within the team and communicates any disciplinary issues to HR 
    9Act as a coach  
    10Coordinate & supervise activities in his/her department
    11Ensure that respective team projects a warm, professional and welcome image   
    12Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relations and takes active interest in the welfare, safety & development of TM
    13Formulate a short and long term Team Member work schedule. Maintaining a harmonious balance between necessary supervision and individual creativity
    14Ensure good maintenance of both internal and external customers’ facilities
    15Handle and monitor of guests complaints and the relevant follow up action required 
    16Prepare the Department budget (Capex, Opex etc)
    17Set the annual operating budget and ensure that it is strictly adhere to and follow up on a monthly basis
    18Supervise and control the extra work done by contractors
    19Draw up preventive maintenance schedules for every item of mechanical and electrical plant or equipment of all departments, such as Chillers, Boilers and Cooling
    20Establish cost management plan
    21Monitor and control inventories of work equipment advises Hotel Manager on refurbishment and rebuilding
    22Follow up of the Department Budget on a monthly basis
    23Manage Roster
    24Follow up on punctuality, controls absenteeism and takes corrective actions where necessary
    25Ensure that there is a proper planning and control of annual leaves for the department
    26Prepare monthly forecasts and schedule resources accordingly
    27Advise General Manager/Hotel Manager on refurbishment and rebuilding
    28Close collaborate with GM/HM on all infrastructural projects
    29Minimize wastage 
    30Maintain accuracy of savings, such as electricity, gas, water supplies, etc.
    31Manage all environmental projects
    32Ensure that preventive maintenance programme is working satisfactorily and that paperwork and logbooks / sheets for all testing (emergency lighting, fire alarm, sprinkler system) are kept up to 
    33Ensure respective TMs are operating as per Quality Management System
    34Ensure respective TMs are operating as per S&H regulations and policies
    35Maintain good housekeeping in the Department
    36Ensure that all new and existing equipment are registred with concerned authorities and all permits are up to date
    37Ensure regular tests are carried out on water and take appropriate action is taken whenever necessary
    38Direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the general maintenance and repair of the resort
    39Establish in line with the quality manager of all quality procedures and follow-up
    40Ensure all disturbances / breakdowns are handled and registered.
    41Follow up on new projects
    42Test regularly all fire prevention systems in the entire hotel
    43Monitor all electrical and mechanical works (as per check lists)
    44Make sure that plant rooms and all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
    45Follow-up on all maintenance requests
    46Ensure that furnishings and installations are in good condition in the outlets otherwise takes appropriate measures
    47Comply with all the sustainability commitments and practices implemented within business units
    48Notify the Sustainable Development Department of any matters that may pose any impact to the environment and society
