- Take part in training and implement accordingly
- Keep superior informed about all unusual matters concerning any plans affecting his/her area
- Inspect all clothes before cleaning, note and action any special requests
- Ensure efficient use of materials to minimise costs
- Carry out daily hand-over at the end of the shift to the Laundry Supervisor
- Verify all washing and ironing instructions on linen, uniforms and guests’ clothes
- Receive, check and sort all items to be sent to dry cleaning
- Receive, check and sort all items to be washed on premises; weigh the items and load machines
- Unload washing machine and upload dryers
- Control the receiving and issue of staff uniforms
- Distribute linen, uniforms and rags as requested
- Ensure the correct and safe usage and maintenance/servicing of all equipment in accordance with set procedures and equipment manual
- Report any problems or any technical defects to immediate supervisor
- Ensure the delivery of request to room
- Collect used linen wherever required and return to laundry
- Ensure all rubbish/waste removed from rooms are disposed of at the garbage room
- Ensure that all records are kept
