Junior Investment Analyst

Island Life Assurance Co. Ltd is looking for a Junior Investment Analyst to join the Investment & Credit Management team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Investment & Risk Manager with portfolio administration, investment analysis and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing periodic investment reports and ensure accuracy in transaction reconciliations.
• Ensure proper settlement of trade orders and maintain all investment records.
• Gather and maintain a securities pricing database in collaboration with service providers.
• Monitor cash flow to ensure the proactive investment of excess cash.
• Conduct weekly market reviews and prepare reports on market trends.
• Update factsheets and prepare investment statements in the required formats.
• Contribute to appraisals of investments and other investigative tasks.
• Assist with audit queries and ensure proper maintenance of records across all managed funds.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.
• Follow up with loanees and tenants regarding queries and arrears settlements.

Candidate Profile

• Holder of a Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related field.
• Proficient in MS Office Tools, (Excel, Word & Powerpoint).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Good communication skills.
• Passion for finance, investments, and financial markets.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
