Our client in the construction sector is seeking to recruit a Human Resource Officer who will report to the Human Resources Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to the Manager in leading the HR function to support the company's management and staff in achieving their strategic and operational objectives.
- Assist the HR Manager to provide HR Operational support to a variety of business units within the company.
- Manage an effective & efficient HR Operations function that delivers proactive and business focused advice and services.
- Ensure that all HR related activities are compliant with the HR standard operating procedures.
- Address and resolve employee relations concern in a timely and responsive manner with respective HoD / Managers.
- Set up a proper filing system (including e-filing) for personnel files.
- Draft the role descriptions and ensure that the responsibilities are updated on a timely basis.
- Liaise with the payroll department for salaries, compensation and benefits matters.
- Assist the Talent Development Manager in the roll out of the L&D strategy.
- Advise and provide support to employees and Manager/HoD on work related matters.
- Provide a monthly report to management on the progress of actions agreed upon for the employee engagement action plan.
- Adhere strictly to Health and Safety regulations and ensure that the work environment complies with the Health and Safety policy and regulations.
Profile:
- Degree in Human Resource Management.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar environment.
- Knowledge in Labour laws and Remuneration Orders is mandatory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Tools.
- Analytical skills and mathematical mind.
- Good communication and good listening skills.
- Negotiating skills.
- Ability to deal with difficult customers.
- Leadership and good team spirit.
- Decision making.
