Helper Cook

We are recruiting a helper Cook for our Malagasy lodges situated in Quatre Bornes. The Helper Cook will be directly reporting to the Malagasy Cook.

Description of post:

• Assisting in basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping ingredients.
• Clean common area such as dining room and nearby areas.
• Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Cleaning countertops, floors, and storage areas is also part of the role to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Supporting the cook in various tasks such as fetching ingredients, setting up workstations, and helping with cooking under supervision
• Adhering to health and safety standards, including proper food handling, storage procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Assisting in the maintenance of kitchen equipment, ensuring they are     clean, functional, and reporting any issues to the Cook.
• To assist as needed during busy periods or special events.
