Heath, Safety and Environment Coordinator

The Health Safety and Environment Coordinator will be responsible for managing effective HS Management System for the overall company, working in close collaboration with Project Managers to ensure

Health and Safety policy compliance, enhance safety culture in the company in a way to go beyond the concept of zero harm to a behavioural safety attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the Safety and Health Policy is implemented consistently at the workplace,
• Ensure statutory compliance as per provision of laws,
• Carry out regular audits for place of work to identify risks,
• Identify preventive and corrective measures, advise in writing to the management and to make a follow up to ensure measures are being adequately implemented,
• Review measures, procedures and policies implemented to ensure health and safety of our people on regular interval,
• Inspect all places of work at least once a month and record all findings in a register,
• Develop effective communication systems on occupational safety and health between the employer and any employee,
• Enquire on any work-related near miss/incident/accident or complaint received from employees,

Other prerequisites:

 A diploma or degree in the following fields : Occupational Safety and Health,  Chemical and Environmental Engineering and / or sustainability.

• Valid driving licence
• Conversant in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 will be an advantage

Salary:

Negotiable pertaining to qualification and experience.
