Our client in the shipping sector is seeking to recruit a Head Freight Forwarding who will carry out Business Development and Sales Marketing functions. The incumbent will supervise the Sales and Customer service teams and will secure new and existing businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality customer service and make sure that assigned policies are well handled.
- Set up and maintain important relationships with clients through value-added services.
- Lead and guide team members.
- Motivate and tracks team members' performance.
- Actively participate within the management team
- Develop and carry out sales and marketing strategies.
- Supervise and coach the Freight Forwarding Team
- Lead and handle activities of sales and marketing staff.
- Liaise with clients on pre and post sales.
- Manage and grow existing accounts to raise revenue.
- Review client feedback to improve on service delivery.
- Work with internal departments to have the same approach for client engagement.
- Analyse data on competitor landscapes and buyer demands to identify sales opportunities.
- Develop actions to address buyer requests that do not comply with the signed sales agreement.
- Develop insights from buyer feedback for further product enhancements.
- Manage relationships with carriers.
Profile:
- Diploma in Business management or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of experience in the Shipping Industry.
- Experience in the Shipping Industry / Freight Forwarding sector.
- Ability to lead a Team to improve the Freight Forwarding activities.
- Leaderships Skills.
- Outgoing persons.
- Self-starter.
- Computer literate (systems and office).
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Ability to develop new projects.
