Job Overview:

PriceGuru.mu is looking for a Marketplace Business Developer to drive the expansion of our marketplace categories, including Baby, Toys & Kids, Home & Garden, Lifestyle, and Sports. This role is essential in onboarding and managing third-party sellers, ensuring they maximize their performance on our platform. A key part of the role includes training suppliers to effectively use our marketplace backend for optimal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and expand the marketplace by identifying and onboarding new sellers across the targeted categories.
• Train and support suppliers on how to use the PriceGuru.mu marketplace backend, ensuring they manage their listings, pricing, and stock effectively.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants to ensure competitive pricing, a diverse product selection, and seamless operations.
• Monitor marketplace performance, ensuring sellers comply with quality, pricing, and customer service standards.
• Analyze category trends, customer demand, and competition to optimize marketplace growth.
• Collaborate with marketing, content, and logistics teams to enhance seller visibility and improve customer experience.
• Negotiate commission structures and partnership agreements to maximize marketplace revenue.
• Use data-driven insights to drive category expansion and improve seller performance.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in business development, e-commerce, or marketplace management.
• Strong knowledge of marketplace operations, seller acquisition, and backend platform management.
• Passion for e-commerce and digital transformation.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to train and guide sellers on digital tools and platforms.
• Proficiency in analytics tools, Excel, and e-commerce platforms.
• Experience in retail, category management, or marketplace operations is a plus.
