1. Junior Buyer/Category Manager – Mobile Phones & Electronics

Job Overview:

PriceGuru.mu is looking for a passionate and tech-savvy Junior Buyer/Category Manager to manage our Mobile Phones & Electronics category. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 3 years of experience in procurement, category management, or a related field, with a strong passion for smartphones, gadgets, and the latest tech trends. This role involves working closely with the content and marketing teams and reporting to the Senior Buyer to drive category growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage product selection, pricing, and promotions for mobile phones, accessories, and electronics.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best deals.
• Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand.
• Work with content and marketing teams to create engaging product listings and promotional campaigns.
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers and brands.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock management.
• Use data-driven insights to enhance category performance and profitability.
• Report directly to the Senior Buyer and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• 2 to 3 years of experience in category management, purchasing, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of mobile phones, accessories, and electronics ( laptop, audio, gaming, photography).
• Passionate about technology and always up to date with the latest trends.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Experience in retail or e-commerce is a plus.

This role requires working closely with the content and marketing teams and reporting to the Senior Buyer to drive category performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage product selection, pricing, and promotions for home and kitchen appliances.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and offers.
• Analyze customer trends, competitor pricing, and market demands.
• Work with content and marketing teams to create compelling product descriptions and promotions.
• Build strong relationships with key brands and suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock management.
• Use data-driven insights to improve category sales and profitability.
• Report directly to the Senior Buyer and assist in category strategy.
