Our Client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a  HR and Payroll Officer

Reporting to the HR & Administrative Manager

Duties:

  • Process payroll under the responsibility of the HR & Administrative Manager.
  • Assist the HR & Administrative Manager in achieving the recruitment plan from cycle start to finish for expatriate workforce; place adverts in relevant publications, liaise with recruitment agencies and/ or agents, liaise with authorities for obtention of relevant permits, draft offers/ contracts of employment and ensure newcomers follow the established induction program.
  • Ensure efficient dissemination of internal information/ communication to staff.
  • Follow up on approved training in favour in terms of registration and follow up on refund with relevant authorities.
  • Coordinate with the Company’s Insurance and Medical Schemes’ Companies and ensure timely and efficient communication between parties.
  • Follow up on attendance and absences and ensure reports are produced in a timely and efficient manner thereby allowing Management to take informed decisions and timely actions.
  • Liaise and follow up with the Health & Safety Officer for all related matters including cases of injury at work and maintenance of a safe working environment.
  • Ensure the Company’s dormitory is equipped, clean and safe and holds all relevant permits.
  • Produce timely and accurate reports, including but not limited to, Overtime, Absences, Staff costs, Staff attrition and movement.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as liaise with authorities in respect of permits and certifications, liaise with suppliers in respect of uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) items, cameras etc…
  • Oversee the administration of the Company’s fleet of vehicles (NTA, Insurance etc.)
  • Perform any other cognate duties.

Profile:

  • Degree in HRM/ Business Management/ Social Sciences
  • 5 years working experience in a payroll function, preferably in the Manufacturing sector
  • Expert Knowledge of ViperTex (Time & Attendance, Payroll)
