 Preskil Island Resort, part of Beau Vallon Hospitality, is a vibrant 4-star family hotel where a dedicated team strives to create unforgettable guest experiences. With over 250 employees, we believe that our success is driven by the talent and passion of our people. We are now seeking a passionate and organized HR Coordinator to support our team and foster a positive work environment for our employees.

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, you will play a key role in managing and executing essential HR processes across the hotel, from talent acquisition to employee engagement, ensuring a smooth and efficient HR function.

KNOW-HOW:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
  • Prepare employment contracts and ensure new hires complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Organize and conduct onboarding sessions, introducing new employees to company policies and culture.
  • Handle employee inquiries and provide HR support.
  • Monitor staffing levels and manage casual staffing requests to ensure proper coverage.
  • Coordinate performance evaluations and probation reviews.
  • Prepare and issue HR-related letters (employment confirmations, recommendations, etc.).
  • Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying timekeeping information.
  • Contribute to HR projects and internal events.
  • Organize and participate in employee welfare initiatives.
  • Track and coordinate employee training while ensuring compliance with HRDC procedures.

SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Licence Bac+3) or equivalent in Human Resources.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in the hospitality sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Mauritian labor laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant HR software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and proactive.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dynamic with a positive attitude.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
