The role of the Assembler is to perform the mounting of furniture/home appliance in the premises of the company or at the customer’s place. This position is also part of the day-to-day running of the logistics operations including but not limited to loading and unloading of lorries and delivery.

 

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Ensure that the mounting of furniture/home appliances are done as per instructions from the
  • Head of Department
  • Comply with the mounting plan for all mounting operations
  • Ensure that all products are handled in a secured manner to prevent damages and injuries
  • Perform inspections of mounted products as may be instructed by management and do the
  • necessary repairs to ensure that every segment is in compliance with required standards and in good running condition
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment under your responsibility
  • Loading and unloading of products in the delivery truck/van
  • Delivery of products at the customer’s place as per instructions provided by the Head of Department or person designated by management of the company
  • Verify the products during delivery at the customer’s place
  • Ensure proper housekeeping at all times of both customer's place after mounting or collection
  • Ensure that the work is performed to an appropriate quality level and that it complies with company policies, applicable industry standards and legal requirements as well as Health & Safety standards 

Profile

  • Minimum SC or equivalent certificate
  • Experience in mounting of furniture and in a similar work environment would be an advantage
  • Physically fit and healthy and good eyesight
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure 
  • Willing to work odd hours
