Looking to be a part of a professional and dynamic team?  My Global Services client based in Ebene, Mauritius is currently looking to appoint a Fund Accountant responsible for managing trust and fund accounting activities including collating, calculating, processing, and verifying financial data to produce accurate Net Asset Values (NAV) for trusts, companies, and funds. This role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

 

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor, maintaining ethical standards in all interactions.
  • Partially ACCA-qualified with relevant experience in financial services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Operations & NAV Preparation:

    • Process and monitor cash movements and investment trades in the accounting software to ensure timely and accurate NAV delivery.
    • Conduct daily, weekly, or monthly cash and stock reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and resolving reconciling issues promptly.
    • Monitor asset pricing and corporate actions to ensure accurate valuation and avoid pricing errors in the NAV calculations.
  2. Expense Management & Financial Reporting:

    • Calculate and verify quarterly expenses and accruals for accuracy in NAV reporting.
    • Prepare and deliver accurate NAV packs within set deadlines for review and distribution.
    • Prepare unaudited financial statements and liaise with auditors to address any queries.
  3. Investor Management:

    • Maintain and update investor registers, ensuring timely and authorized changes.
    • Manage client communications, resolving or escalating queries as needed.
  4. Compliance & Administration:

    • Ensure adherence to service level agreements, internal controls, and company policies to maintain regulatory compliance.
    • Accurately update delivery matrices and communicate potential issues promptly.
  5. Swiss Company Administration:

    • Perform bookkeeping and prepare unaudited financial statements for Swiss companies.
