Responsible for performing quality and quantity inspections on shore tanks & vessels.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To carry out inspections on shore tanks & vessels, in accordance with international, company and client’s standards and guidelines where applicable.
  • To ensure that field reports are completed before submitting for final report preparation.
  • To ensure accuracy of reports and compliance with any specific requirements before and after job attendance.
  • Assist inspection related duties, dispatching of samples, filing, sample management.
  • Ensure that consumables available and are used in an effective and efficient manner.

PROFILE

  • HSC in Scientific subjects, Degree / Diploma in Scientific subject is an asset, or School Certificate with 2 years working experience in related field.
  • Must be physically fit to perform duties in an overall weather condition, able to work in confined spaces and to climb storage tank ladders, vessel gangways and stairs typically 25 to 65 feet high and be capable to carry samples, gear or equipment up to 25kg.
  • Must be able to work on extended hours specially for tanker discharge and bunkering. Task related to extended hours are planned operations. In exceptional cases Bunkering / discharge operations might take up to 48 hours. Where operations exceed 12hours inspector must be capable of planning his/her operational hours and rest time when onboard until completion of operations.
  • Candidate should not be colourblind.
  • Must be able to work under flexi time basis and should the need arise be available to work on a shift system which include evenings, weekend / holiday to meet business commitments and requirements.
  • Depending on situation, may have to utilize SCBA and / respirator. (Will be trained and fit tested).
  • Must adhere to PPE requirements.
  • Must maintain active valid driver’s license. 
  • Must be able to able to work under pressure and odd working hours in line with applicable local law.
  • Must be able to travel (Plane / Ship) for job attendance when required.
  • Holder of clean and valid certificate of character.
