The Compliance Solutions team is part of the Global Risk & Compliance Department. The main role of the team is managing and supporting BDOs compliance software solutions.
Summary of role
This is a full-time, Team Leader position in the Compliance Solutions Team, with participation and some responsibility in multiple areas: Application management, Product support, VIP firm user support, Vendor relationships, Communication, Management backup and entry-level people management.
The position is gradually being developed into a more independent, Mid-level position critical in managing our widening portfolio of compliance tools, therefore the ideal candidate will show ability and willingness to further develop themselves.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Acts as a functional administrator for three important compliance and reporting tools (the necessary product training will be provided)
• Contributes to Level 2 (business) product support for the above tools, including offering tailored support for VIP firm and Global Office users
• Gets involved in managing internal stakeholders and business relationships alongside the Senior Manager
• Will be able to gradually get involved in understanding product roadmaps, providing business support for ongoing product development and related processes
• Contributes to and/or creates product-related communication, including product documentation, tutorials and demos, BDO World websites, reporting and dashboarding support, training, regular maintenance and firm champion communication
• Acts as temporary backup for the Senior Manager of the Compliance Solutions team as needed
• Supervises the Compliance Solution Coordinator(s)
Qualifications and Work experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a comparable line of work in an English-speaking corporate environment (this should not be the first full-time job of the applicant)
Skills
• Ability to learn the compliance software tools at a power user level (training will be provided)
• A solid working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Demonstrable, high-level knowledge of English, both oral and written
• Experience in international corporate communication
• An organized person, good at documenting activities, strong attention to detail
• A strong support mindset
• Entry-level people management/supervision
• Competence and confidence to act as occasional backup for Senior Manager
