The Club Manager should have the ability to balance member and business priorities. Be able to encourage individual development by nurturing talents and through empowerment. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be a leader with the ability to set examples and foster a climate of cooperation.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

  • Manage and be responsible for the Club operations
  • Conduct morning HOD meetings
  • Closely monitor the Club business reports daily and take decisions accordingly
  • Inspect facilities regularly to ensure that work areas are maintained to standard and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards
  • Maintain the drive for high quality service

 Human Resources

  • Monitor the Professional Development Plan for HOD’s
  • Set KPI’s to be cascaded by HOD’s through their respective team
  • Ensure development, training, and motivation of all the staff
  • Guide HOD’s to foster a climate of cooperation and effective communication amongst departments

Customer Focus

  • Ensure that complaints are attended with consistency, commitment, and rapidity
  • Foster a customer excellence culture among staffs to ensure that members and guests receive superior customer service
  • Responsible of guest satisfaction target
  • Develop and maintain good relationship with members and guests through frequent contact

 Finance

  • Develop quality improvement strategies
  • Monitor club income & expenditure through innovative practices and management programs
  • Oversee the financial health of the Club together with the Accountant
  • Check the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the Club’s annual Operating Budget and Capital Budget.
  • Ensure the monthly financial reporting preparation by the Accountant

 

PROFILE

  • Degree in Business Administration / Hotel Management or relevant field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as General Manager or equivalent in a 4- or 5-star resort or any similar entity
  • Understanding of club/ hotel management best practices
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills
  • Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making
  • Have a knack for problem-solving
  • Participative leadership style
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • At ease with MS Office tools
