C-Care, part of the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a Mauritian private healthcare group, owning and operating the two main private healthcare facilities in Mauritius, namely C-Care Darné and C-Care Wellkin Hospital. C-Care also owns and manages C-Care Clinic and C-Lab.
C-Care is currently looking for an Clinical Training Lead to be based at C-Care Corporate office.
Clinical Training Lead
Reporting to the Head of People Development and Culture; the selected will lead, design and implement clinical training programs that enhance the skills and competencies of clinical employees throughout the organisation. The clinical training lead is consequently the guardian of the compliance to high-quality patient care in alignment with global healthcare and organisational standards. As part of this role, the clinical training lead is also accountable for the clinical training programs and certificates delivered under the C-Care Training Institute.
What you will be doing?
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and drills to identify competency gaps and training needs of the organisation’s clinical staff.
- Collaborate with department heads to align training programs with organisational goals.
- Design and develop clinical training curriculum and content based on identified needs and best practices.
- Implement training programs using various methods, including classroom, workshops, e-learning, drills, and on-the-job training.
- Identify qualified trainers (internally and externally).
- Evaluate continuously the effectiveness of the training programs under your scope through feedback, assessments (incl. OSCE and drills), and key performance metrics.
- Devise and share yearly and monthly training calendars with the business units, including exact dates, venues and schedules.
- Coordinate and manage all logistical aspects required for the smooth execution of training programs.
- Achieve efficient coordination and delivery of the training programs.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for training initiatives.
- Communicate training objectives, progress, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
- Make cost-effective use of training resources and budget.
- Ensure all L&D dashboards are updated within 48h with relevant information regarding training programs and their outcomes.
- Create detailed plans and content modules for the establishment and operation of the school
- Establish partnerships with government bodies to obtain and maintain accreditation of courses for the school.
What are we looking for?
- Min. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications in training and development or healthcare-related certifications (e.g., Certified Nurse Educator, CNE)
- Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with experience in various clinical roles such as nursing, allied health, or clinical operations.
- Active and unrestricted nursing license
- At least 3-5 years of experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in conducting training needs assessments and developing customized training solutions
- Proven experience in a leadership role, managing teams, and overseeing training and development initiatives.
- Knowledge and experience with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements
- In-depth understanding of clinical practices, healthcare standards, and patient care protocols and ability to stay updated with the latest developments and trends in healthcare and clinical training.
