Chief Accountant - (2429-CACCT)

Our client in the textile industry is seeking to recruit a Chief Accountant who will report to the Chief Financial Controller.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial accounting of all transactions in conformance with generally accepted Accounting principles and Corporate Financial Policies of the company as applicable.

Responsibilities:

• Actual Financial Reporting - for management and statutory requirements
• Cost Control - ideas and implementation.
• Cash flow/ Forex Management.
• General Ledger/ Reconciliation to subsidiary Ledgers/ Monthly Statements.
• Purchase Orders/ Accounts Payable/Cash Disbursements.
• Orders/Accounts Receivable/ Cash Receipts.
• Include accountability of: Orders/Cash receipts; Purchase Order/Accounts Payable/Cash.
• Disbursements; Bank reconciliation; Internal Controls; General Ledger/Monthly Statements; General Financial Reporting.
• Compliance to internal policies.
• Systems Design and development.
• Continuous improvements to Internal Controls Systems.
• Liaison with internal/external auditors / Customer Service/ Local Sales/ Local banks/ Vendors Audit Services.
• Company's compliance to generally accepted Accounting Principles and financial Policies.

Profile:

• This position requires an advance educational Background, (Professional Qualification in Accounting is essential).
• A minimum of five years of experience of which at least 2 were in supervisory capacity.
• Advanced Computer Literacy is essential.

• Conversant with IFRS.
• A previous experience in textle will be an added advantage.
