The Cellar Technician is responsible for refilling and emptying barrels within designated timeframes, ensuring production goals are met as per the Cellar Master’s objectives.
Responsibilities
•Refill empty barrels within 48h from delivery
•Emptying Barrels for an order within 48h from request receipt
•Assures to meet production volume goals according to forecast given by Cellar Master.
•Monitor & record all alcohols transactions in the cellar in logbook.
•Report back on any leaking or damaged cask in the cellar
•Repair the barrels when necessary.
•Keep the cellars and barrels clean and cask well organized as per instructions.
•Clean the IBC tanks after emptying.
•Responsible for complying with the Company’s hazardous material and safety procedures.
•Keep all cellar’s equipment clean and in good conditions.
•Assure that cask description is maintained for proper identification.
•Required water treatment to be done on barrels as and when required
Education/Competence
•Minimum Form 4 or certificate from a recognized technical school.
•Skilful person
•Good verbal and written communication skills required (French & English)
•Knowledge of safety regulations would be an advantage.
•Computer literate
