Business Development Executive (BDE)

The BDE will play a crucial role in driving business growth by actively seeking out and acquiring new clients through strategic prospecting, targeted sales outreach, and compelling sales presentations.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and acquire new customers by targeting Emtel’s data services
  • Conduct pre- and post-sales visits to customers to assist in achieving data sales targets
  • Manage and follow up on all business-related customer requests and complaints to be resolved
  • Provide continuous feedback to customers within the agreed timeline
  • Achieve sales targets through proactive prospecting and customer engagement
  • Conduct comprehensive needs analysis and collaborate with pre-sales teams to present tailored service solutions to customers
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate proposals with pre-sales input, ensuring compliance with ICTA-approved pricing standards
  • Responsible to foster customer retention and to minimize churn
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and service connections
  • Participate in customer events and marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and engagement
  • Manage customer accounts by ensuring timely follow-up on contracts and settlements
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline
  • Engage in cold calling and conduct customer meeting to support pipeline development as required
  • Track contract expiry dates and proactively renew customer agreements

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing Management, Business Administration or in any other related field
  • Minimum of three-year work experience with customer selling skills
  • Direct selling experience within the Telecom/IT Sector will be an advantage

Required Skills and aptitudes:

  • Good presentation skills and pleasant interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English and French
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
  • Ability to work individually and within a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and deliver results within tight deadlines
  • Sales and target oriented
  • Creative and technology-oriented
  • Customer focused

Candidate must possess a valid driving license for a private car.
