The Associate Officer supports the Academic Affairs Officer in the day to day administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree from a recognised institution or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the Board.
Duration: Contractual basis for two years, may be considered for permanent and pensionable establishment upon satisfactory completion of contractual employment
Experience:
At least one year of experience in administration or related field.
Knowledge and Skills:
Candidates should have –
(i) possess good communication skills;
(ii) have a positive attitude towards work; and
(iii) be computer literate.
Candidates should produce written evidence of experience/knowledge claimed.
Duties.
- Report to the Manager as assigned and inter alia perform the following duties:
- prepare, scrutinise and process documents/cases.
- type and collate general office correspondence and documents according to competencies.
- maintain files, forms, reports and other materials.
- receive, sort and process mail and to prepare materials for mailing.
- photocopy reports and other documents and operate standard office equipment such as telefax machine.
- carry out word processing and data entry and to update information in a computer system.
- carry out registry, simple finance, human resource and procurement and supply duties, under supervision.
- assist in administrative duties within the division/section/unit and to provide general support to operational services.
- To draft replies to simple correspondence.
- To operate e-mail services, as and when required.
- To effect simple research on matters pertaining to the division/section/ unit, as and when required.
- To keep records regarding documents, books and magazines of the PML, and to assist users by providing relevant information, whenever required.
- To assist in duties relating to committees, organisation of official functions, training programmes and other activities.
- To use ICT in the performance of his duties.
- To perform such other duties directly related to the main duties listed above or related to the delivery of the output and results expected from the Associate in the roles ascribed to her/him.
NOTE: The Associate Officer will be required to work outside normal working hours and during weekends. If required.
