Sourcing and Collect Specialist

WeCycle Ltd is seeking a dedicated and proactive Sourcing and Collect Specialist to manage and expand our local carton and paper waste collection efforts.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and maintaining relationships with businesses, industries, and other waste generators to secure a steady supply of recyclable materials. As the primary point of contact for all sources, you will play a key role in boosting our local waste collection network.

This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a good understanding of logistics. 

Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop partnerships with new waste suppliers.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate bin set ups
• Maintain strong relationships with existing sources to ensure consistent waste flow.
• Negotiate terms, volume commitments, and pricing for waste collection.
• Monitor and report on the volume of waste sourced from various partners.
• Collaborate with the logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient collection and delivery.
• Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes affecting waste sourcing.
• Work closely with the management team to align sourcing strategies with company goals.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Sales & Marketing or a related field
• Experience in channel development / sourcing, or a related field (experience in waste management or recycling is a plus).
• Self-driven, proactive, and unafraid of challenges.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships.
• Good office skills (Microsoft Office, email management, reporting).
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple sourcing contracts.
