The Assistant – Procurement will assist in managing the procurement cycle, support vendor relationships, and ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders. This role is essential in maintaining efficient procurement operations.
Responsibility:
- Assist in coordinating procurement activities, including sourcing, purchase order processing, and vendor follow-ups.
- Support in developing and maintaining effective vendor relationships, ensuring timely communication and resolution of any procurement issues.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, vendor information, and transaction logs.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities for management review.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures and assist in audits and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to monitor stock levels and coordinate timely restocking of supplies, as needed.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing data and documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise with vendors effectively.
- Highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Minimum HSC
- 1 year of experience in procurement
