We are looking for an Assistant Maintenance Manager

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Assists in leading the Maintenance Team in the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment schedules and work schedules.
  • Assigns, supervises, and verifies completion of routine maintenance and operation of physical structure of hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment which contributes to the safe and effective operation of the facility. Visually inspects quality of work and assigns team members and directs outside contractors in tasks according to performance and productivity standards.
  • Maintains all distribution systems for electricity, steam, gas, etc. and operates air conditioning, heater, ventilation and refrigeration system.
  • Participates actively in the maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and takes action when any unsafe situations arise.
  • Maintains the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel and supervises programs involving electrical, mechanical and general construction, repair and maintenance of existing facilities and equipment, operation of plant utilities.
  • Works closely with other departments (i.e., Front Office and Housekeeping Departments on maintenance and repairs issues) and Head Office to ensure high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Communicates with all different to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for Guest rooms and public areas.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • HSC or equivalent
  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering or related field
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar position or as Maintenance Supervisor in a resort environment
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality
  • Ready to work odd hours / Sundays / Public Holidays / Cyclone and others
  • Ready to act as Duty Manager whenever required
  • IT literate 
  • Good knowledge of managing operating costs 
  • Roster Management of team members
