a)Co-ordinates, projects and prepares with management budget, forecasts, profitprogrammingprojects and cost analyses contributing toward a more profitable operation.
b) Supervises the maintenance of and co-ordinate with Regional Controller all hotel accountingprocedures and controls in compliance with the hotel policies & procedures as well as localrequirements.
c)Daily communication with management regarding control for expense and incomepotentials. Makes all studies and/or reports required by the Director of Finance.
d) Works with all departments of the hotel in any function directly or indirectly pertaining toexpense and finance. Keeps them informed of their departmental expenses and investigatesall items that appear questionable.
e) Staffs, trains, supervises, evaluates and upgrades finance department employees.
f) Checks, supervises and controls all purchases, disbursements, payroll and expense of thehotel.
g) Maintains a basic knowledge of all local laws pertaining to hotel operations and communicates with Director of Finance on any pending changes.
h) Maintaining and keeping up to date all tenant leases, contracts, licenses, permits, insurance and ascertains compliance therewith.
i) Works with Human Resources Department on payroll control, payroll budgets and procedures.
j) Initiates, supervises and spot checks all stocks taken of inventories and fixed assets.
k) Supervises and works with the Credit Manager in minimising overdue balances and lossesarising from delinquent accounts and to minimises losses arising from uncollected guests andcity ledger accounts.
l) To attend and actively participate in credit meetings.
m) Supervises the preparation and timely submission of all required tax returns and other reportsto government authorities and owning companies in accordance with regulations andcontractual agreements.
n) Seeks advice and guidance from Local Counsel, external Auditors and other deemednecessary.
o)Submits tax returns and other government reports to the proper authorities on a timely basis.
p) To issue the Monthly Financial Report as well as all the documents required by the company.
q) To ensure that all reports to the Owning Company and Managing company are accomplishedon a timely basis.
r) Co-ordination and information with the other related Department Heads.
r) Assumes responsibility of Duty Manager when scheduled to do so.
s) Conducts skills/technical training within his/her area of responsibility on regular basis.
t) Ensures all staff in his area of responsibility is thoroughly familiar with the Hotel's emergencyand security procedures.
u) Other duties as assigned.
