Ekium AMIO Ltd is a growing engineering company based in Mauritius and part of the French EKIUM Group, a world leader in engineering design.

 

  • Bookkeeping a monthly basis for management report
  • Review & validate sales invoices on the accounting software for the Group
  • Input of purchase invoices on the accounting software for the Group
  • Verification of Purchase Orders
  • Group Sales Reconciliation
  • Prepare and manage weekly cash flow for the Group
  • Prepare weekly payments to suppliers
  • To calculate Work in Progress
  • Supervise & plan the work of accounts officers
  • Bank reconciliation for various bank accounts of the Group
  • Accruals and prepayment Journal entries
  • Attend internal & external queries from time to time
  • Attend queries from Debtors/Creditors
  • Deal with the Bank, MRA, Business Mauritius or any other institutions in case of queries
  • Monitor closely the weekly debtors chasing exercise
  • Preparation of monthly VAT and TDS
  • Preparation of yearly TDS
  • Assist FM in the monthly preparation of management accounts
  • To assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of the departmental group budgets
  • To compile data for preparation of monthly and annual financial reports for the Group
  • To maintain accounting records by making copies, filing documents and to ensure the filing system is complete
  • To reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • To support audit and liaise with auditors
  • To perform any administrative and secretarial tasks related to your department
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws

Person specification:

  • ACCA partly qualified with minimum five years working experience
  • Experience using Oracle ERP and Sage pastel is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate technical matters and issues
  • Multi task skills with ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines 
  • Good team player with ability to work proactively under minimal supervision 
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Fluent in english  & french written and spoken
